Clarence Valley Draft Local Environmental Plan 2010 is on public exhibition until 31 March 2010. The Draft LEP applies to all land in the Clarence Valley Local Government Area (LGA). The Draft LEP 2010 combines the controls of 6 existing LEPs applying in the Clarence Valley LGA into one LEP. The annual Clarence Valley Seniors Week Writing competition is on again. If you have a story or poem about acceptance and community and you’re under 18 or over 55 then this competition is definitely for you. Entries close 19 February.

health scholarships 2010

Applications are invited from eligible persons for a number of health related scholarships valued up to a maximum of $2,500 each.

annual kerbside cleanup service

A clean-up service for solid domestic waste items will be provided in February and March 2010 to every household currently receiving a weekly garbage collection service throughout the Clarence Valley Council area.

shannon creek dam - open to the public

Shannon Creek dam is open to the public 4 days a week, Thursday to Sunday, with the gates opening at 9am and closing at 3pm.

permanent level 1 water conservation measures

Level 1 restrictions apply to all properties on town water supply. The community's awareness and contribution to water efficiency measures is acknowledged and appreciated - every drop counts!
