Grounds will be checked daily - prior to 9:00am and prior to 3:00PM - if raining and information updated as soon as possible thereafter. Sporting Officials controlling the sport being played should make their own decision as to whether the field should be used after the park has been closed due to wet weather, on the basis that the sporting body is held responsible for the cost of repair of any damage resulting. Any damage will be assessed by Open Space staff on the following working day. The onus will be on the organisation to obtain the correct information on any day of usage from their sport officials and to advise their players. All sporting bodies and schools are required to comply with this policy.
