Sporting bodies should make their own decision as to whether the field should be used after the park has been closed due to wet weather, on the basis that the sporting body is held responsible for the cost of repair of any damage resulting. Any damage will be assessed by Open Space staff on the following working day. The onus will be on the organisation to obtain the correct information on any day of usage from their sport officials. All sporting bodies and schools are required to comply with this policy. Grounds will be checked prior to 9:00am and prior to 3:00PM if raining and information updated as soon as possible thereafter.
