About Council Volunteers
Volunteering is a lifestyle choice and Clarence Valley Council recognises people volunteer for a variety of reasons. Our volunteers are a diverse group including parents with grown-up children, active retirees, students and community groups.
Volunteers play a vital role within Clarence Valley Council. There are volunteer roles in:
- supporting people with disabilities,
- aged care,
- providing transport,
- development and maintenance of parks and open spaces,
- plant propagation,
- delivery of Meals on Wheels,
- operation of flood gates,
- assisting at the Gallery and Library and
- assisting with the organisation and running of events.
As a Clarence Valley Council volunteer, you will be part of a team working to realise the Council's Vision. You will be making a positive difference in the lives of people. You will be given training, guidance and support to enable you to carry out your duties, and your work will be recognised and appreciated.
How to become a Volunteer with Council
The Council recruits volunteers through Volunteering Clarence Valley (VCV). Applications (using the application form) should be forwarded to:
