What does Your Choice - FRS do?
Through the Your Choice program people can chose from a range of respite options to suit their needs.
The goal of "Your Choice" is top provide a respite planning service that is responsive to individual needs and provides flexibility for people. Our respite options include in-home or out of home respite. This can be overnight or for a shorter period of time such as a morning or an evening. For our overnight respite services we access a broad range of accommodation services, both disability specific and mainstream services.
Eligibility for the Your Choice - FRS program
The person with the disability must:
- Be between 0 - 65 years old
- Have a unpaid live in carer
- Have a diagnosed disability
Priority for Your Choice services is given to people who are:
- Living with a sole carer.
- Living with an aged carer
- Not current receiving or have limited access to other respite services.
- Assessed to have complex challenging/assaultive behaviours
- Frail health & complex multiple support needs
