Proposed new Grafton Library
Council's major project for 2013 will be the construction of the new $8m Grafton Library on the council car park in Pound Street.

The two-storey building will have a floor area of around 1,600 square metres and house around 40,000 items. It includes space for a local studies collection, genealogy, meeting rooms, computer area, children's activity area and of course places to read!
Funded by the Australian Government, this fantastic facility is sure to be utilised by the 12,385 current members and hopefully attract new ones.
Background....
During 2010, Council invited the community to help select a location and comment on design features, services and functions for a new library.
We wanted your thoughts on our new library, and many members of the community became involved in public consultations and provided feedback on the project.
