Coastal Zone Management Plans (CZMP)

Council prepares coastal zone management plans (CZMP), formerly known as coastline and estuary management plans, in accordance with the Coastal Protection Act 1979 and relevant NSW Government guidelines. This process is overseen by the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW).

Copies of adopted CZMPs (or equivalent coastline or estuary plans) and background/draft reports for CZMPs in progress have been provided on this website. If you cannot find a Plan for an area of coastline or estuary of interest then contact Council's Environmental Planning Coordinator, Mr Scott Lenton, on (02) 6643 0234.

Riverbank Management Plan (RMP)

Council has prepared riverbank management plans for sections of riverbank that are considered to be a high risk of failure (due to erosion or mass movement) and are located adjacent to vulnerable assets. The Palmers Island RMP is provided below. Electronic copies of the Ulmarra RMP and Woodford Dale RMP will be added to this website in the future. If you cannot find a RMP for an area of riverbank of interest then contact Council's Environmental Planning Coordinator, Mr Scott Lenton, on (02) 6643 0234.
