Upgraded Armidale Road in Nymboida, at Wards Gully and Hortons Creek

400m at Ward’s Gully:

  • Removal of the existing causeway and pipe culvert, which will be replaced with a large twin cell culvert
  • Road will be straightened to allow better access for heavy vehicles and improve visibility
  • Works were funded by the Federal Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity program

1.19km at Horton’s Creek:

  • Widening of a number of tight corners allowing heavy vehicles to turn without leaving the lane and improved visibility
  • Straightening sections of the road
  • Repair existing degradation of the road and include a new vehicle pull over bay for slow vehicles
  • Works were funded by the NSW Safer Roads Program
