Tourism in nature

We're taking one of the nation's great river experiences to the world.

The iconic Clarence River, all 380 kilometres is at the heart of a multi award winning regional tourism and infrastructure investment program - the Clarence River Way. Locking onto the population growth centres in nearby south-east Queensland, establishing Yamba, Maclean, Iluka, Ulmarra and Grafton as key visitor zones and providing solutions for integrated touring is serving up experiences for all the senses. Clarence River Way is how we are turning short breaks into life long memories and repeat visits.

INVESTORS There are loads of investment opportunities, in fact more than 50 private and public sector sites and projects to consider. Get a head start on the possibilities and download the masterplan here.
COMMUNITY The River is a huge community asset and in this program everyone is involved. Register for Council's community newsletter and see how you can help.
STAY CONNECTED There's a lot already happening, up river in the wild country, in towns and villages and on the coast.

"There is a river in the north, a river with a familiar past but with qualities which promise a rich, sustainable future. To travel the Clarence River Way is to open up to the many moods of the river, understand its landscape treasures and engage with its diverse cultures and attractions; to journey with the luxury of time and independence as the River Way brings rewards and pleasure today, as well as keen anticipation of the next visit."
