We are upgrading the Council Administration Building at 2 Prince Street, Grafton

What are the key dates?
  • Work will start in December 2020 and is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2021
Why now?
  • The current building was constructed in the late 1960s when accessibility and environmental standards were not considered.
  • We have a responsibility to ensure that members of the public, staff and Councillors can access all areas of the building in a safe and dignified manner
What are the benefits?
  • The project includes local procurement, employment and Aboriginal employment objectives which will help boost the local economy
The new building will also:
  • Meet National Construction standards for accessibility
  • Be smarter and energy efficient with more solar panels, LED lighting and improved insulation
