Mayor delighted with REX announcement to return to the Clarence Valley

Regional Express (REX) has announced that it will be resuming services to Clarence Valley Regional Airport near Grafton on Monday 17 August 2020.

Clarence Valley Council Mayor Cr Jim Simmons said, “We are delighted to receive the news from REX that they are returning to the Clarence Valley.”

“REX offers a vital service to our community; it connects Clarence Valley businesses and individuals to Sydney and beyond.”

“We would like to thank the Member for Page, Kevin Hogan and the Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack for working together with us to secure the return of this vital air link.”

“We would also like to thank REX’s Executive Chairman, Mr Lim Kim Hai for keeping the communication channels open and for restarting the Sydney service,” Cr Simmons added.

Flights to Sydney will operate Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tickets will be on sale from 7.00pm tonight and we encourage residents and businesses to use the REX services whenever travelling to Sydney.
