Community Strategic Plan - The Clarence 2027

The Community Strategic Plan, The Clarence 2027, maps out your vision for the Clarence Valley for the next 10 years. It's our blueprint for the future and was only able to be created with your input. Over 1,500 residents got involved, and shared their visions of the future of the Clarence Valley to help create it.

Council shows our responsibilities in our four year Delivery Program and annual Operating Plan.  Council’s responsibilities may be to develop, to facilitate, to regulate or to advocate.

Your vision – not just council’s responsibility

It was adopted at the June 27 council meeting. However, the broad community vision in The Clarence 2027 covers areas outside of council’s responsibility.

However, council is only one of the groups that deliver on your vision in The Clarence 2027; other groups that share the responsibilities to delivery your vision include you, the broad community and other government and non-government organisations.

The Next Step - Community Action Planning

We need your input to take your vision in The Clarence 2027 from idea to action.  Community Action Planning workshops, facilitated by council staff, are being held across our valley in July. These highly participative workshops will take the ideas provided by the community for The Clarence 2027 and help you create projects and programs to be run and facilitated by the community and other responsible groups.

You get to make a difference! So, how do you get involved?
