Join LightnUp Inc and the team to get creative and be part of Grafton's Jacaranda Festival by joining our free Lantern Making Workshop! Design and build your very own lantern. We are hosting 2 session for each age bracket, you can attend both and complete your lantern from start to finish or you can attend a single session and share the creativity! The lanterns created will be stored in a safe place until the Jacaranda Illuminate event where you’ll also be able to join the crew from the famous Lismore Lantern Parade in an Opening Lantern Parade on Saturday, 24 October at See Park, Grafton! You can carry your own lantern in the parade to celebrate the official start of the Jacaranda Festival 2026.
All school holiday program activties and sessions are accessible, inclusive & targeted at young people 12 to 18. Any child under the age of 12 needs to be accompanied by an adult. All of our youth events are drug, alcohol & vape-free. For more information contact 6643 0212.
