Bulky Waste Collection

From July 2023, a smarter, more flexible annual bulky waste collection service will commence, replacing the old service for residents who received a weekly domestic waste service.

Most of your bulky waste will be sent to landfill (apart from fridges and whitegoods). If there is an option to reuserecycle, repair, re-gift or rehome, please consider these options before your bulky waste collection.

Op shops may accept your clean, functioning items (other than electrical items and mattresses); or there are several online platforms for selling or rehoming including Clarence Valley Buy, Swap, Sell; Clarence Valley Waste Not Want Not; Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree.

You will receive confirmation of your collection date via email from cvc.requests@jrrichards.com.au after you have submitted your booking.

If you haven't received an email within an hour, check your junk/spam mail box.

Step 3.Place items out the Sunday prior to the allocated collection week

You can place up to 2 cubic metres of bulky waste on the nature strip where you normally place your wheelie bins. Please do not place items out in advance as this may encourage illegal dumping on your pile.

Mattresses and items that need to be degassed (eg. fridges) will be picked up as a separate collection.

Excess bulky waste will not be collected and removal will be the responsibility of the householder.
