Published on 05 June 2025
An extraordinary council meeting was held on Thursday, 5th June 2025 at the Grafton Council Chambers.
There was one item of business to alter the previous resolution 4.2025.2 from the extraordinary council meeting held on 11 April 2025.
Council considered advice regarding the unintended consequence of the previous motion and resolved to acknowledge the flaws in resolution 4.2025.2 from the Extraordinary Meeting of 11 April 2025 and understand that this resolution may need further alteration to ensure that it is a lawful decision of council.
Despite this, where compliance can be demonstrated, Council will enter new agreements with existing holders of long term (casual occupation) agreements.
Otherwise, vacant possession is expected on 1 July 2025.
Those seeking relief through NCAT are exempt under order 7 and the General Managers undertaking provided to the Deputy President in the NCAT proceedings.
