Council is seeking expressions of interest from proponents looking to lease or manage the Yamba Community Hall and Library facility located at 45 Wooli Street, Yamba, under a short or long-term arrangement.
The Yamba Community Hall & Library has long served as a vital cultural and social hub in the heart of Yamba. With the completion of the newly constructed Yamba Library & Community Centre on Treelands Drive, the existing Yamba Community Hall & Library on Wooli Street will become surplus to Council’s operational requirements.
This well-known and centrally located facility offers a unique opportunity for a suitably experienced individual, community group, or organisation to activate and manage the space, continuing its long-standing role as a venue for local engagement, connection, and activity.

Key Features & Information
The property comprises a 2,065 square metre allotment in a central and accessible Yamba location with the following purpose-built infrastructure:
- Community Hall – Large hall with stage, meeting room, kitchen, bathrooms, and offices.
- Library – Library building currently utilised exclusively for library purposes.
- Rotunda – Utilised as a storage area.
- Parking – Off-street parking for up to eight (8) vehicles.
Zoning: SP2 – Infrastructure, under Clarence Valley Council’s Local Environmental Plan (LEP)
About the Location
Yamba is a picturesque coastal town located within the Clarence Valley Local Government Area. Renowned for its stunning beaches, relaxed lifestyle, and strong sense of community, Yamba continues to attract both new residents and visitors alike.
The broader Clarence Valley LGA is home to over 53,000 people and is experiencing steady population growth. This expansion is supported by significant infrastructure investment, a thriving tourism sector, productive agriculture, and an ongoing trend of lifestyle migration.
Yamba is steadily evolving into a vibrant, modern community. Its unique combination of natural beauty, appealing lifestyle, and growing infrastructure makes it an increasingly attractive destination.
Clarence Valley Council is seeking EOIs in two parts:
Short-Term Lease or Management (12-month term)
Council invites proposals for the short-term use and management of the facility under a 12-month lease arrangement, consistent with its current classification as ‘community’ land.
Long-Term Management
Council is also seeking proposals from proponents interested in the long-term management of the facility. To facilitate long-term management options, Council may consider reclassifying the land to ‘operational’, subject to legislative requirements, should this align with the preferred submission.
