Work experience

Clarence Valley Council provides unpaid work experience for people who are currently studying at secondary and tertiary levels. These placements are a great opportunity to learn from our staff and gain new skills and on-the-job experience, while exploring possible career opportunities.

We aim to provide all applicants with meaningful work experience in their preferred area where possible, however the volume of applications that Council receives means that it may be necessary to decline some applications. All applications will be assessed in terms of timing of the placement, workloads of our employees and the availability of our people in the requested area to mentor and supervise students.
