Waste-not development control policy

As landfill sites become scarce and the environmental and economic costs of waste disposal rise, there is an increasing need for society to manage the increasingly large volumes of waste we generate. This policy aims to minimise the generation of construction/demolition waste and facilitate effective ongoing waste management practices consistent with the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD).
