Residents can now enjoy an improved waste management experience, with Clarence Valley Council launching its upgraded Clarence Valley Waste app.
“We’re introducing a refreshed version of our waste app with a new look and feel,” Clarence Valley Council’s Director Environment and Planning, Adam Cameron, said.
“While the appearance has been updated, the functionality remains the same with all existing features continuing as usual.”
Residents will need to remove the old app and download the new version. The new app will be available for download on Google Play and the Apple Store from 1 June 2026 with the previous app to be discontinued from 1 July 2026.
The free app provides a personalised bin collection calendar tailored to your address, sends convenient bin night reminders, and offers clear guidance on what can and can’t go in each bin.
It also includes information on how to dispose of unusual items, locations and operating hours of waste transfer stations, as well as details on fees, charges and contact information.
“The app is extremely user friendly and hopefully encourages residents to take greater responsibility for resource recovery and waste management by making informed choices,” Mr Cameron said.
