Maclean Netball Court Redevelopment

What’s happening?

Council has resolved to award a contract to Advantage Sports Constructions to redevelop the Maclean Netball Courts for the community which will include:

  • demolition of existing netball courts and lighting
  • design and construction of 6 new concrete netball courts
  • installation of new 200 Lux LED lighting
  • installation of supporting infrastructure.

Timeline

  • November 2025: Tender awarded by Council
  • December 2025: Project commencement
  • May 2026: Project completion

  • The redeveloped facility will be able to host mid-level local and regional competition, high level training.
  • Increased participation, retention, engagement and sense of belonging of women and girls in sport and physical activity in the community.

March 2026

Redevelopment works completed to date include:

  • Detailed Design of the Redevelopment
  • Demolition Works of the Existing Infrastructure
  • Construction of the Concrete Netball Courts
  • Installation and Commissioning of the Lighting System

Redevelopment works to be completed include:

  • Installation of the Court Surfacing, Line Marking and Goal Posts
  • Installation of Court Fencing
  • Installation of a Drinking Station
  • Construction of the Supporting Footpaths



This activity received grant funding from the Australian Government, in association with Clarence Valley Council and the Lower Clarence Netball Association.
