Clarence Valley residents are being asked to provide their feedback on Clarence Valley Council’s draft 2025/2026 Operational Plan, which features a $196 million program of capital works planned for the year ahead.

The Operational Plan sets out the projects and initiatives that Council will undertake in the next financial year to achieve the strategies in the Delivery Program 2026/2029 and community objectives in The Clarence 2036 - Community Strategic Plan.

The capital works program features:

  • $500,000 for Active Transport Strategy
  • $1.2 million for Maclean Netball Courts redevelopment
  • $23.8 million for road and bridge projects
  • $1.3 million for waste improvement projects
  • $4.7 million for open spaces and sports fields

Clarence Valley Council’s General Manager Laura Black said now is the time for our community to get involved and contribute forward thinking planning for the Clarence Valley.

“The Operational Plan aims to achieve the aspirations of the community, so it's important that we have your feedback to ensure we’re meeting those goals.”

“In recent years, we’ve seen significant investment focused on making our infrastructure more resilient to disasters."

“These improvements are already making a positive impact but like many regions, we still face our share of challenges.”

Alongside the Operational Plan, submissions are also being sought on Council’s Resourcing Strategy, and Schedule of Fees and Charges. Each of these documents is created under the NSW Office of Local Government’s Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework (IP&R).

The documents can be viewed on Council’s website until Monday 26 May 2025.
