What's happening?

Clarence Valley Council is undertaking upgrade works along Marine Parade, Yamba, to address road deterioration and improve stormwater drainage.
The road has been damaged by the March 2022 flooding disaster and ongoing severe weather. This caused:

  • Holes and sinking under the south part of Marine Parade
  • The edge of the road moving sideways and down
  • The road surface breaking, needing lots of temporary fixes

To make the road safe and improve drainage, we need to remove three Pandanus trees. For every three trees removed, we will plant one new tree.
