Community and Liveability Advisory Committee

Appointed by Council: February 2025

Purpose

The purpose of the Community and Liveability Advisory Committee is to provide advice and assist Clarence Valley Council with community and stakeholder engagement activities on issues and opportunities related to the community wellbeing and liveability, resilience, arts and culture, open space and heritage.

Focus on a community that is safe, connected and inclusive:

  • A proud and inviting community with opportunities to connect, belong and feel safe.
  • The rich cultures of the Gumbaynggirr, Bundjalung and Yaegl people are celebrated.
  • Art and culture are celebrated, and historical assets preserved.
  • Young people are supported in a community that enables growth, development and participation in decision making.
  • A mix of housing options in locations with access to services, health, education and employment.
