Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee

Appointed by Council: February 2025

Purpose

The purpose of the Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee is to provide advice and assist Clarence Valley Council with community and stakeholder engagement activities on issues and opportunities related to the local environment, sustainability and natural hazards management.

Alignment to Community Strategic Plan (CSP)

Theme: Environment

Focus on a natural environment that is protected from local and global pressures:

  • Natural environments, ecosystems and native flora and fauna are enhanced and protected.
  • Coastline, waterways and natural environment are healthy.
  • Green space is maintained and used responsibly.
  • Protection of the environment is encouraged through initiative and education.
  • Reduce, reuse and recycle are priorities in the community.
