We have several financial roles available and are looking for individuals that have a passion for supporting businesses to achieve their service outcomes.
Tertiary education in accounting, commerce, or equivalent is essential.
Local Government experience, CPA or CA qualifications are desired.

Building surveyors

With an unprecedented residential construction boom in the Clarence Valley well and truly underway, we have added positions to ensure we continue to provide quality customer-focused and professional building services to the industry and the community.

Do you have qualifications in Building Surveying and are looking for your next career move to the beautiful Clarence Valley?

Do you have a strong ability to build internal and external relationships and professional networks to promote collaboration?

Whilst previous experience within the local council is desirable, it is not essential.

Town Planner

Do you want a town planning role where you can make a real difference on the ground?

Due to its beautiful natural environment and enviable lifestyle, the Clarence Valley is currently experiencing a significant increase in new development, and we need an experienced development planner to deliver best-practice outcomes for our community, the environment and the development industry. Our Development Services section has an unique opportunity for a highly motivated town planner to join our organisation.

With experience working across the development assessment discipline and in delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers, you will provide professional advice across development applications, business reform and have opportunities to contribute to improving our planning instruments. The successful applicant will have experience under the New South Wales planning framework, be outcomes-focused and contribute to the creation well-designed, sustainable and connected communities.

True to the Clarence Valley Council being an innovative workplace, we are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements, including an option for a complete remote working arrangement for the right applicant.
